Dear College Now Supporters,

At College Now, we know the importance of community support. And, as the November election quickly approaches, the Cuyahoga County Board of Elections needs that community help. Given the heightened importance of this year’s election during the pandemic, they need to hire more than 6,000 essential workers to ensure a fair, transparent, accurate, and bi-partisan election. They especially need Precinct Election Officials to staff polling locations on November 3rd, and they try to assign workers at a polling location nearby where they live.

Applicants must be registered to vote and must not have been convicted of a felony to apply for one of the following paid positions:

  • Precinct Election Official: Staffs the polls on Election Day, assists voters, and ensures the election process is handled in a fair, accurate and transparent manner. Earns up to $250.
  • Rover/Drop-Off Captain: Travels to various polling locations to assess and assist with problems, safeguards important documents, and supplies, and delivers election materials. Earns $12.50 per hour.
  • Election Transport Official: Maintains political balance on election night by riding with a law enforcement official to and from drop-off locations and the Board of Elections warehouse to delivery ballots. Earns $18.50 per hour.
  • Temporary Election Clerk: Performs duties at the Board of Elections leading up to, during and/or after Election Day. Earns $12.50 per hour.

The Board of Elections is committed to ensuring poll workers and voters are safe on Election Day. Protective equipment such as face masks, hand sanitizer and social distancing markings will be provided at all polling locations.
