What’s a GearHead? Based on our logo, a GearHead is a kid, all geared up, who explores nature, discovers history, protects the environment, and goes on adventures throughout the Blackstone Valley.

Teo’s mother remarked, “My son loves anything that presents an opportunity to learn, especially nature scavenger hunts and living history presentations.”

Unfortunately, last summer our offices were closed due to the Coronavirus. No kid took the pledge to enjoy our natural resources, nor learn about the birthplace of the American Industrial Revolution.

The Blackstone Heritage Corridor’s mission is to do just that… To preserve and promote the Valley’s historic, cultural, and recreational resources for current and future generations.

Although we collaborate with Blackstone River Valley National Historical Park, we are a separate nonprofit organization. We need to raise additional funds to support our programming.

With your help, we are determined that next summer we will not only revive our GearHeads program, but expand it.
