At the State Chamber, we have marked this day to celebrate the history of Delaware in a different way. With the able leadership of U.S. Senator Chris Coons, we have partnered with him over the years to bring great food and beverage to Washington, D.C. and share the excellent work of our local food and drink purveyors with others. Unfortunately, we won’t be meeting in person this year for reasons that are quite obvious, but we remain grateful to the restauranteurs, food and beverage producers around Delaware that make us the envy of the Mid-Atlantic.
These are tough times for many of them – very difficult. Please consider ordering takeout more often and buying gift cards or products from these businesses as they do their very best to make ends meet and hold on to their precious investments and employees.
