2021-2022 Project School Supplies

Did you know approximately 59 percent of Spring Branch ISD students are economically disadvantaged? Spring Branch Education Foundation’s Project School Supplies provides these students with the right tools to foster success. We want all students to confidently walk into their classrooms on the first day of school having the tools they need to succeed.

That’s why even before one school year ends, SBEF is planning the next academic year’s Project School Supplies. The Project has a 10-year successful track record, providing thousands of students with appropriate grade-level supplies from crayons to binders.

In 2021-2022, we want to furnish economically disadvantaged students (with a goal of providing for every student) in all Title 1 pre-kindergarten, elementary and middle schools with individual supplies as well as backpacks and classroom tissues and hand sanitizers. Supplies that would normally cost $35-40 are available to SBEF for as little as $10, thanks to on-going relationships with national wholesale vendors.

A generous grant from the Wilchester Men’s Club provides calculators for senior math classes at Northbrook High School. Similar donations are a blessing to our students.

Thank you for supporting the 2021-2022 Project School Supplies!

$10 will provide for one student
$250 will provide for 1 classroom
$1,000 will provide for 1 grade level

The 2021-2022 Project School Supplies is dedicated to the memory of Patty Busmire. Patty and her daughter, Becky, got the Project off the ground and nurtured it to significant growth.

The CARES Act Charitable Giving Incentives allowing individuals who do not itemize their deductions to deduct charitable contributions, up to $300, from their annual gross income (AGI) for contributions in 2020 has been extended to 2021. Additionally, cash contribution limits have been raised for gifts to public charities: individuals are now subject to a limit of 100 percent of AGI (up from 60 percent) for both 2020 and 2021. You may be able to offset significant amounts of your income if you contribute to Spring Branch Education Foundation.
