Public art touches people on so many levels.
It helps us to connect, engage, and share our experiences as a community.
It helps turn our public spaces into dynamic places that people like to visit and want to return to again and again.
But it’s deeper than that.
Art enriches our lives emotionally and intellectually. It adds a dimension that takes us away from our everyday routines.
For some, public art is an escape, a break from the ordinary. For others, it’s a reflection of who we are or what we aspire to be, a chance to connect with something timeless, something bigger than ourselves.
For some of our Summit families, the public art they see downtown may be the only art that they or their children encounter in their daily lives.
