Dear Ones,

A quick note to remind you that there's many ways you can volunteer your time at Trinity!

The Front Desk Ministry continues to be one where we need help so that the staff can do work without interruptions - could you volunteer 2 hours once a week?
We have some sorting and organizing tasks that could use help: unused offices, files, the kitchen, other storage - we need folks with a keen eye for what we should save and what can go away.
On August 3, our Children's Chapel and Nursery will move downstairs from the Auditorium into the South Room (formerly known as the Godly Play room) so it's more convenient for families. Can you help carry some things down after church that day? Many hands make light work!
Speaking of Children's Chapel, discern whether you could help lead Children's Chapel once a month or so with a partner starting in September. More info below.

Alright, that's everything in this moment - I am grateful for the many ways you serve and hope you will take on one of the tasks above. Remember the 10 2-letter words: If It Is To Be, It Is Up To ME!

¡Una nota rápida para recordarle que hay muchas maneras en que usted puede ser voluntario de su tiempo en la Trinidad!

El Ministerio de Recepción sigue siendo uno donde necesitamos ayuda para que el personal puede hacer el trabajo sin interrupciones - ¿podría ser voluntario 2 horas una vez a la semana?
Tenemos algunas tareas de clasificación y organización que podría utilizar la ayuda: oficinas no utilizadas, archivos, la cocina, el almacenamiento de otros - necesitamos gente con un buen ojo para lo que debemos guardar y lo que puede ir lejos.
El 3 de agosto, nuestra capilla de los niños y la guardería se moverá hacia abajo desde el Auditorio en la Sala Sur (antes conocida como la sala de Godly Play) por lo que es más conveniente para las familias. ¿Puede ayudar a llevar algunas cosas abajo después de la iglesia ese día? ¡Muchas manos hacen el trabajo ligero!

Backpack Drive nearing completion - can you help?

Garfield Elementary students are heading back to school July 31st and we will need at least 60 back packs, filled with the following (and more if you’re able!):

1 personal pencil box or pouch

1 box of pencils

2 pink erasers

1 box of colored pencils (Crayola preferred)

1 box of washable markers (Crayola preferred)

1 box of crayons (Crayola preferred)

glue sticks

12-inch ruler

spiral-bound notebooks

composition notebooks

scissors

For July, the RE-Humanization Project invite you to two specific actions:

Learn ways to speak about your faith and how it guides you. If someone asked you how your faith impacts your life and decisions, what would you say? Start practicing your answers at home!
Call a Representative - make it a point to express yourself to your elected reps. Using the 5 calls app or just letting them know what it is you care about, our reps need to hear from us daily. Commit to sharing your hopes for our nation and community all month long!

Sandwich Ministry Needs Bread Please

Our Sandwich Ministry continues to make PB&J sandwiches on many Sundays and Wednesdays. We could use donations of bread to keep it going this summer. Thank you in advance!

Can you help provide soap, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, toothpaste for those in need? Also packages of Diapers in sizes: 4, 5, 6 and/or Pull-Ups can help families who are struggling. Also, if you have old pill bottles, they are great to help distribute hygiene products in smaller amounts so bring them in when they’re empty!

The art show this summer is “The Bees Knees,” “Aces,” “Swell,” “Neato,” “Far Out,” “Gnarly,” “Awesome,” “Hot,” and “Lit.” Feel free to choose the adjective from your youth!

Our summer exhibit in the Olney Gallery is a photographic and artistic history of our beloved Cathedral, as well as some of the people who worshipped here.

Prayers of the People

Oración de los Fieles

We pray for peace,

for goodwill among nations, and for the well-being of all people. We pray for our President and for the Congress, the Cabinet, and the Supreme Court. We pray for justice and peace, particularly in Gaza, Iran, and in Ukraine.

We ask your prayers for the poor,

the sick, the hungry, the oppressed, and those in prison, particularly those who are being removed from this country without due process and those being removed in spite of being in legal immigration processes. We pray for all those who are afraid in these times.

We commend to your mercy all who have died, particularly those who have died in the flooding in Texas this week, that your will for them may be fulfilled; and we pray that we may share with all your saints in your eternal kingdom.

We pray for: Kay & Jim, Surya, Jeff, Gloria, Karl, Jill, Jonathan, Merle, Charles, Sarah.

We give thanks for those celebrating birthdays and anniversaries this week.

Oremos para la paz,

por la buena voluntad de naciones, y para el bienestar de todos pueblos. Rezamos por nuestro Presidente y por el Congreso, el Gabinete y el Tribunal Supremo. Rezamos por la justicia y la paz, especialmente en Gaza, Iran, y Ucrania.

Pedimos tus oraciones para los con recursos limitados,
