Summer Activities

Volunteer for FTGH Summer Camp

We’re looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help create an unforgettable experience for our participants through games, activities, and mentorship. Whether you’re a high school student working toward service hours, in college and looking to build your resume, or simply want to give back, volunteering with First Tee is a great way to build connections, develop leadership skills, and spend your summer making a difference.

Girls Golf eLeaders

The eLeader program is a national volunteer and mentorship opportunity for LPGA*USGA Girls Golf advocates, ages 13 - 18 (still attending high school), who are looking for ways to give back to help their local program. In addition to making a difference in your community, you'll build professional and leadership skills that will help you prepare for life beyond high school.

Samuel Herrera: Official Eagle Scout

Some participants come to First Tee to learn the game of golf. Samuel Herrera did that — and then found a way to give back.

A four-year member at our Memorial Park location, Samuel recently earned one of Scouting America’s highest honors: the rank of Eagle Scout. What makes this achievement especially meaningful to our First Tee family is where he chose to leave his impact.

For his Eagle Scout project, Samuel led the renovation and restoration of the golf club rack on the back porch pavilion at F.M. Law Park. Through his leadership, planning, and hard work, participants now have a safe and organized space to store their golf bags.

Samuel is also an ACE participant — the highest level of achievement in the First Tee program — demonstrating the character, leadership, and commitment to core values that he has developed throughout his journey with First Tee Greater Houston.

We are incredibly proud of Samuel and grateful for the lasting impact he has made on our program and community. Thank you, Samuel!
