Supporting nonprofits with year-end giving elevates our communities
There are many nonprofits from Aspen to Parachute, all with a mission to alleviate problems or uplift our communities. When someone donates to any of these causes, they influence others to take ownership of their causes and donate as well.
Since 1976, 43,000 youth and their families have been insured of a better future because of the advocacy and support YouthZone has provided during critical moments of their lives.

On Nov. 7 and 8, Officer Jermaine Galloway came to Aspen and New Castle to share drug and alcohol use and concealment trends used by youth. Taking care of our youth means being aware of what kids are exposed to and finding out what they know.
YouthZone staff brought back some key takeaways to share with our communities.

YouthZone had higher risk kids than ever before.
In the past three years, these kids made the most progress
than any other previous group.
Youthzone has adopted evaluation practices to assist in building evidence-based services and focusing administration, case managers, the organization’s board and the community on where additional attention can improve outcomes.
YouthZone has gone through an evaluation every three years for the last 21 years to measure their effectiveness.
Katie Westcott’s post college travel triggered a desire to work with kids, but in a structured environment where she felt she’d be able to do the most good. As a Youth Advocate II at YouthZone, Katie needs to combine an analytical mind with her compassion for helping kids.
Karen Barbee, YouthZone's Restorative Justice Coordinator, will support the restorative justice work in Colorado schools and education for communities.
