A Message from the Director
As I write this on Giving Tuesday, I am overwhelmed by the number of requests that I have received online and in my mailbox. Many worthy causes and organizations are engaged in what has become a tradition on this Tuesday following Black Friday and Cyber Monday – two days designed to encourage us to exercise our purchasing power. The goal of Giving Tuesday is to direct our attention to the needs of others and to support groups whose vision coincides with our own. That’s why I am writing to you today, knowing that you care about the values Green Energy Ohio represents – clean energy and a sustainable future.

Each year at this time we ask for your financial support, and we are always gratified by your responses. This year, as we invite you to invest in GEO, we will be amplifying your investment through energy education. A portion of all donations will be dedicated to establishing new energy education programs throughout Ohio starting in the first quarter of 2019. Education has always been a hallmark of GEO’s mission. Even though there are many more sources of information on energy alternatives than there were when GEO was founded, there is still a need for innovative approaches to educating Ohioans on clean energy – from students at all levels to homeowners, government officials, and business leaders. The benefits of renewable energy and energy efficiency continue to grow, and we believe that GEO occupies a unique space in the conversation.

We spent much of the last year reaching out to you for ideas, and we came away from those discussions both informed and inspired. One of our highest priorities is to expand our circle of members. We are committed to maintaining an affordable membership structure and to providing value to those who join. If you have been a member in the past, please consider renewing your membership. If you have not been a GEO member, this is a great time to join.

Both memberships and donations can be processed online at www.greenenergyoh.com or sent to Green Energy Ohio, P.O. Box 521, Granville, OH 43023.

In the spirit of the giving season, I thank you for your continued support, and I look forward to working alongside you to ensure a green future in Ohio!
