Georgetown’s public health guidelines require everyone to wear a in University-owned or operated buildings with limited exceptions. Catholic Mass resumes on Tuesday, August 24, at 12:05 p.m. in St. Ignatius Chapel (Med/Dent 1st floor, SW). During the academic year, Masses for the Medical Center community will be celebrated each Tuesday and Thursday at 12:05 p.m.

Mass of the Holy Spirit
The annual celebration of the Mass of the Holy Spirit takes place on Tuesday, August 24, at 4:00 p.m. in Gaston Hall. All students, faculty and staff are welcome to join this Mass marking the start of the academic year. Current health protocols will be followed, including masking for all present. Family, friends and those unable to join in person may view a livestream on the Georgetown University Facebook page.

The University shared helpful information for Georgetown faculty, including: using new classroom technology; instructional continuity; the requirement to wear a mask indoors; handling student mask refusal; sanitizing and ventilating classrooms; no classroom physical distancing; preparing for student absences; COVID-19 symptoms; free COVID-19 testing; and dealing with dependent care challenges.
