Dear Mountain Laurel Community:
As we were preparing to send another appeal for the MLWS Annual Giving Campaign, the daily news about Ukraine over the last 2 weeks made us pause about our priorities, and we are hoping we could redirect your generosity to the plight of Ukrainian families.
The international Waldorf movement, including the International Association for Steiner Waldorf Early Childhood Education (IASWECE) and our colleagues in the European Council for Steiner Waldorf Education, stand in support of the families in Ukraine and are raising funds to offer support in the coming days.
The funds will go to crisis work at the borders, including finding accommodations for Waldorf families within Poland and Germany for refugees, providing Waldorf education to refugee children at border camps and allowing Ukrainian Waldorf Schools to continue to pay their teachers.
