How can you help local entities survive and thrive?
- Leave positive reviews on Facebook, Google, or wherever appropriate.
- Like and share their social media posts.
- Follow all guidelines put in place both by the government and the business/organization. Wear a mask, maintain the required distance, use hand sanitizer if requested.
- Do not put a business or organization in jeopardy because you don’t want to follow the guidelines.
- Be kind. Business owners and staff didn’t ask to be put in this position. They are doing their best to keep afloat, and venting your frustration to them over situations they can’t control is unfair and rude.
- Be patient. We are all getting used to doing things differently.
- Honor appointments/reservations or give adequate notice of cancellation, so the time can be filled with another paying client.
- Understand that the cost of doing business is now higher. Just as you have seen higher prices at the grocery, businesses are paying more for goods, not to mention they have spent money adapting their facilities to keep clients and staff safe.
- Tip well.
- If you don’t want to wear a mask or feel unsafe visiting a location in person, order online or by telephone for delivery or curbside pickup.
- If you go to a restaurant, don't linger over your meal - help them turn the table so they can serve another party.
- Donate online to organizations.
- Renew memberships and subscriptions.
Support local businesses and organizations today so they are here tomorrow.
