Greetings,
After much discussion toward the end of last year, we decided to launch the inaugural Naples Classical Academy Senior Class Trip to Greece and Rome. It is our goal that this 8-day senior trip will help concretize the abstract principles and ideas that we explore in the classroom. This trip will give our graduating seniors a unique opportunity to explore the roots of Western Civilization, to breathe the air that Aristotle breathed. Scholars will have an opportunity for their reading to come to life in the places, art, and culture of the seat of Western Tradition. They will experience: The Athenian Acropolis and Parthenon, the Sanctuary of the Oracle at Delphi, the Roman Forum and Colosseum, St. Peter’s Basilica and the treasures of the Vatican Museums, along with many other sights along the way. Dr. Rochefort and I will lead this trip along with several other faculty members.
The Optima Foundation strongly supports our vision for the annual NCA senior trip. A trip like this can be a once in a lifetime event for some. We recognize that not all scholars and chaperones share the same economic advantages. As a result, the costs associated with a trip of this caliber may not be attainable for every family.
We are grateful to the Optima Foundation for spearheading this fundraising effort. With your support, together, we can make this life-changing trip a reality for each one of our scholars as our first-ever graduating class at Naples Classical Academy.
-Pax et Bonum-
