Dear Marine families,

MarineParents.com, Inc., was founded nationally 16 years ago on January 21, 2003 to provide support, information, and services to Marines and their family members, and create opportunities for the public to support our troops through the organization's outreach programs.

God bless and Semper Fi!

The mission of Team Marine Parents is to provide the framework for individuals to participate in athletic events nationwide while raising funds and promoting awareness of the organization's outreach programs.

Team Marine Parents (TMP) has been accepted as a U.S. Marine Corps charity partner for the 7th year in a row. Through charity partners such as TMP, thousands of individuals from around the country have the opportunity to compete in the Marine Corps Marathon (MCM) while raising funds in support of a personal cause. This year, TMP will have 50 bibs available to TMP participants.

This year, 2019, the 44th Marine Corps Marathon will be held on Sunday, October 27, 2019. As a Marine Corps charity partner, Team Marine Parents™ has registered 50 bibs for the October 27th race.

Transitioning Out of the Corps
Transitioning from military to civilian society life can be a challenge, particularly for veterans who have experienced combat or other traumatic events during a deployment. There are, however, a variety of factors that can help ease this transition, perhaps the most important one being the willingness to take the first step toward committing to recovery.

Featured TMP Participant:
Kelly Cerbone
" My name is Kelly and I am a 7th grade Math/Science teacher. I also work part-time teaching yoga and boot camp. I have found that I am drawn to challenges in life-whether they be physical or mental. I love not only proving to myself all that I am capable of but to those around me as well. "

Female Marines at SOI West
In March of 2018 the Marine Corps started sending female Marines to Marine Combat Training (MCT) at Camp Pendleton, CA. The Marine Corps is continuing it's integration of male and female Marines after approving female Marines to enter all combat jobs as well as integrating certain parts of training in boot camp at Parris Island.

April is Month of the Military Child

Established in 1986 by then-Defense Secretary Caspar Weinberger, April is the Month of the Military Child. April is not only a month to be aware of what these children are sacrificing, it's a time to say and show thanks.

Promotions
There is one question that any good Marine will ask on a regular basis. "How can I get promoted?" That answer will vary depending on the rank of the Marine. We will keep it simple and stick to the basics of getting promoted.
