Strong Support for Delicate Newborns
ORION EMPLOYEES CHAMPION LOCAL PEDIATRIC CENTER
The Orion Riders are proud to have raised $5,000 to donate to the Pediatric Interim Care Center (PICC) that provides drug-exposed and mentally fragile newborns the care they need between the hospital and home. This effort was matched by Orion for a total contribution of $10,000. The center has helped over 3,100 babies have a healthier start through their nursing and family training services. Orion program participant Victor has warehouse experience and training in CNC machining. He has an interest in finding a position machining for aerospace manufacturing.
JOB SEEKER PROFILE
Inspired to Learn and Work
Victor entered the Orion program in Shipping and Receiving thinking he could build on his previous warehouse experience. He found a lot of success, being recognized as the October Worker of the Month. Soon, he was inspired to expand his skills further to include CNC Machining and now is pursuing work in aerospace manufacturing. “I know that with what I learned at Orion, my technical skills are going to be there. And now I know I can keep learning.”

Lifting Others to Their Potential
Hector Mercado Capistran is an experienced Orion manufacturing mentor who is dedicated to helping his mentees master tasks and build their confidence. Having worked in both the Mukilteo and Auburn locations, Hector is a leader who focuses on communication and bringing meaning to the work participants do. Learn more about Hector and how he guides program participants to reach their full potential.
