The Florida Board of Dentistry is holding a regulatory workshop on May 21, 2021, to consider authorizing the delegation of laser use by dental hygienists. Current regulations defining remediable tasks exclude the use of lasers unless used as an assessment device.
ALD and FDHA are asking dentists and dental hygienists licensed in Florida and throughout the US to participate in this advocacy campaign supporting delegation of laser use by dental hygienists for bacterial reduction. Click here for supporting research references. There are two ways to participate, please take part in both!
