Library Advocacy Day

Every year, library advocates from across New York State come together in Albany to show their support for libraries. Your presence can make a BIG difference, and we hope you'll join us!

If you cannot attend in person, below are other ways you can support New York's libraries:

  1. Take a minute to fill out a Call to Action form & let Governor Hochul know how important the library is to you!
  2. Become a New York Library Advocate, take a minute to fill out the NYLA Advocate sign up form.
  3. Contact our state representatives in New York: Senator Michelle Hinchey  & Assemblymember Jonathan G. Jacobson.

Friends of the MFL Donate Funds to the Library

The Friends of the Marlboro Free Library recently presented the Library Board with a check for $2,000. The check represents monies raised during 2024 for the Library. Fundraising events throughout the year included the Spring Tea Party, raffles, and hosting the Dark Side of Marlboro Walking Tour. The funds will be used for Library programs such as the shredder truck and other programs. Keep an eye out for upcoming Friends events including their annual Spring Tea Party!
