Supported Decision-Making in Texas: What You Need to Know
With new legislation that took effect September 1, 2015, Texas is now the first state where supported decision-making is a legally recognized alternative to guardianship for adults with disabilities.

Sixteen-Year Lawsuit Concludes
DRTx filed a lawsuit in 1999 on behalf of eight children who were denied medically necessary health services by Medicaid. In December 2015, the 16-year-long struggle to improve Medicaid services for children ended.

Getting Social Side-By-Side 
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. Texans with and without disabilities make contributions to their communities, participate in employment, and have fun together - side-by-side. So DRTx joined the Texas Council on Developmental Disabilities and other groups for the #SideBySideTX social media campaign.
