Client Impact

In August of this year, our Promotora Yolanda received a referral for a new client, Mr. Galván. He was referred by a past LLC client and was seeking assistance with Medi-Cal and medication. He had migrated from Mexico to Houston in search of work or healthcare, and needed his diabetes medication that he had been without for 8 months. His symptoms only worsened, he was losing sleep, lacked an appetite and could not work. Mr. Galván suffered a diabetic coma (Ketoacidosis) and ended up in the ER.

After he was discharged from the hospital, our Promotora partnered with Peachtree Health to get his medication and established PCP care. He received his medication quickly. Thank you Peachtree!

Mr. Galván reports that he feels much better and is relieved he has primary care established.

"I feel so much better with my medications now, thank you Yolanda”

“Me siento mucho mejor con mis medicamentos, gracias Yolanda ”
