Client Impact Story
One of our families recently received assistance through our partnership with the Assistance League of Greater Placer. The family was provided with essential items for their baby, including a new car seat, a crib with a mattress and two sets of sheets, and a dresser for the baby’s clothing.
Later, they met with Linda Oddo at the Assistance League Thrift Shop to express their gratitude in person. Deeply appreciative of the support they received, the couple brought Linda a plant as a gesture of thanks for the kindness and generosity that helped them prepare for their growing family.
This reminds us of the power of collaboration and community care. Together, we can continue to support local families, ensuring they have the resources and encouragement they need during important life transitions.

16-Week Spanish Language Parent Project Course
Are you a parent navigating the challenges of raising children in a bicultural environment? Parent Project is a 16-week course designed to support families through practical tools, community connection, and meaningful growth. Throughout the course, parents explore topics such as healthy communication, youth mental health, and substance use in a supportive, culturally informed setting. While parents learn, their children participate in parallel youth groups focused on leadership, self-esteem, and resilience.
Our next cohort will begin in January 2026 in Lincoln!
Here’s what past participants have shared:
“I have participated in Parent Project two times during the different life stages of my children, and in each class, I have learned different tools to continue communicating better with my children.” — Maria
“We have brought all our children to these Parent Project classes. We, as a family, have learned how to better communicate with each other and find solutions for our family’s differences.” — Sara
If you're looking to build stronger relationships at home and connect with other families on a similar journey, the Parent Project could be the perfect next step.

| | | This month, children practiced their names and colors, explored creativity through leaf lions and fireman art, and enjoyed a fun field trip to Bishop Pumpkin Patch. Halloween was celebrated with reading, a cooking activity, and classroom party. These activities encouraged early learning, creativity, and family engagement throughout November. | | |

Our youth recently had an incredible month full of learning, connection, and new experiences. They began by participating in a special live segment on Telemundo 33 for Día de los Muertos, where they proudly represented our program and showcased their leadership, creativity, and cultural pride in the community.
They then continued the excitement with an outing to K1 Speed in Sacramento, where they built teamwork, confidence, and focus while enjoying friendly competition on the indoor track. It was a memorable opportunity for them to challenge themselves, strengthen friendships, and have fun together.
We are so proud of their engagement, growth, and dedication. We look forward to many more moments like these!
