Community Meeting Update

Based on community and partner input, we have decided to cancel our monthly community meetings. We appreciate the many organizations and agencies over the years who have shared their services for our communities. We will continue to seek ways to ensure we can provide this valuable information to all.

In the meantime, please check out our monthly newsletter, which also shares many services and resources accessible for our families.

Have a beautiful and safe summer!

If you have resources to share to LLC, please email to Outreach Coordinator, Crystal Lopez-Franco for inclusion in the next newsletter.

Client Impact

At the beginning of 2024, the Reyes family faced many hurdles and devastating challenges that hindered their family’s dynamics.

The Reyes family came to LLC seeking assistance to fix the family’s only vehicle. This was their only form of transportation for their daughter’s urgent medical appointments. Immediately, our Promotora Yolanda began finding resources to obtain the financial assistance they needed. Yolanda was able to successfully connect the family with Linda Oddo from Assistance League of Greater Placer, and the Reyes family received monetary assistance to fix their car.

The Reyes family can now safely take their daughter to and back to all appointments needed. Furthermore, they are receiving assistance to find a Primary Care Provider, signing up for Medi-Cal, and help navigating appointments!

It is through partnerships with other organizations in Placer County that we are able to help our families overcome the challenges that life throws at them.

"I don’t know what we would do without Yolanda and all the help she’s given our family!”
