Dear Friends and Supporters,

Choosing where to bank and where to give your philanthropic dollars is a deeply personal decision, especially here in Sonoma County, where community relationships matter.

For decades, your generosity has helped make the work of Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue possible. Now, we would like to express our gratitude in a very special way: by inviting you to meet the people and plans that will carry this work into the future.

We are excited to offer you our first invitation to become part of our Succession Plan for the Future.

Community Philanthropy Is Generational

Philanthropy can begin at any point in our lives, and it can also be something we pass from one generation to the next. The relationships we build and the causes we choose to support can become part of our family and community legacy.

We invite you to watch this wonderful short video created and shared with us by Exchange Bank, a longtime partner in our community. Exchange Bank has helped safeguard the generosity of our supporters since 1981, right from the beginning of Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue.

At the end of the video, we would like to introduce you to a few of the people who represent the next generation of leadership at Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue. Their stories demonstrate what generational philanthropy and generational stewardship can look like in our community.

Meet Our Future

We would love for you to meet the people who are helping shape the future of Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue:

Danielle McGuire

Current Animal Care Director

Katie Woolery

Animal Care Director

Current Assistant Animal Care Director, Agency Liaison Coordinator & Release Site Coordinator

Kelsey Reidinger

Director of Community & Volunteer Activities

Current Volunteer & Community Support Coordinator

Doris Duncan

Spring Canyon Nature Retreat Developer & Future Board Member

Current Permittee / Executive Director

These are the people who will help carry forward the mission, knowledge, relationships, and values that have made Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue what it is today.

You Are Invited

We would like to personally welcome you to our facility for a VIP behind-the-scenes tour, followed by a relaxed sit-down lunch.

This will be an opportunity to:

  • See our work firsthand
  • Meet the people who are helping shape our future
  • Learn more about our succession planning
  • Hear about exciting opportunities ahead
  • Share a meal and conversation with others who care deeply about wildlife and our community
  • Get to know one another a little better

And while you are always welcome to support Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue with a donation, this invitation is not a fundraising event.

This is our opportunity to say thank you, share what we have been building for the future, and invite you to be part of the next chapter.

Because we want to keep these gatherings intimate and conversational, space for this first event is limited. If this gathering fills, we hope you will consider joining us for a future one. If all goes well, we plan to offer these special gatherings seasonally, giving more of our supporters an opportunity to visit, connect, and learn more about the future of Sonoma County Wildlife Rescue.
