De La Salle North Catholic High School, founded in 2001, has enlisted the support of over 90 Corporate Partners in the Portland Metropolitan Area. Pacific Landscape Management has joined that group and engaged in their The Corporate Work Study Program (CWSP). The CWSP is an integral part of the De La Salle North Catholic education. Students fill entry-level office positions in banking, law, medicine, finance and many other exciting career fields. The CWSP experience provides tremendous opportunity for economically disadvantaged students to get a college-prep education, while at the same time providing a diverse, motivated, enthusiastic entry level work force.
What is the Corporate Work Study Program ( CWSP)?
Partner organizations contract with CWSP to fill full-time, entry level jobs. The fee-for-service contractual period spans approximately ten months from the middle of August to the second week in June. These jobs are paid positions, with the money earned paid directly to De La Salle North Catholic / CWSP to cover approximately 50% of the student's’ cost of education. Students are employees of CWSP. Team Orange is excited to participate in this program and support the school’s mission to provide an affordable, college preparatory, faith-based education to young men and women throughout the Portland metro area with limited financial resources.
