Hello Aggies! We're in the home stretch of winter quarter. We have some fun events and tasty food planned for you this month as we head into finals and spring break.

February 28-March 21 Ramadan options at the DCs. Learn more.
March 7 Lent accommodations begin. Student Housing and Dining Services will provide options for students observing Lent in all of our dining commons and at our retail dining locations.
March 13-14 Persian New Year Platform Takeover at DCs and Latitude
March 14 Instruction Ends
March 17-21 Finals Week and Comfort Food Week
March 18 Supporting Local Theme Meal from 5-9 pm at 3 DCs. Harvestfest from 4-6 pm outside Segundo DC.

Supporting Local Theme Meal and Harvestfest

Join us from 5-9 pm at the 3 DCs on March 18 for a Supporting Local Theme Meal where we'll feature dishes with ingredients from some of our partners, such as College of Ag, Mary's Free-Range and NAE Chicken, UC Davis honey and olive oil and Creekstone Ranch. The theme meal will coincide with Harvestfest, which will occur from 4-6 pm outside Segundo DC where a variety of local vendors will be tabling and sharing the story of their business, many of which will have ingredients featured in the theme meal. The DCs will be closed from 4-5 pm to prepare for the meal.

Persian New Year Platform Takeover

We're hosting a Platform takeover at the 3 DCs from 3/13-3/14 that you won't want to miss! On Thursday, March 13, enjoy Saffron and Yogurt Marinated Lingcod with Ghalieh Mahi Sauce, Persian Style Herb Rice (Sabzi Polow) and Roasted Spicy Saffron Fennel. On Friday, March 14, savor Roasted Halibut with Green Herb Sauce, Dill-Saffron Rice, Sauteed Sumac and Garlic Rapini.

UC Davis’ housing program was awarded Gold by the 2024-2025 NASPA Excellence Awards for their program, Need-Based Rent Subsidy: Improving Long-Term Housing Affordability for Low-Income Students. In 2024, the program awarded 590 students (50% of income-qualified applicants) from the Green at West Village, Primero Grove and Orchard Park a total of $791,998.
