Dear Uniters,

We hope this message finds you and your loved ones safe in the aftermath of Hurricane Milton. Our community has faced flooding and significant storm damage over the past few days, and we want to remind you that resources are available for those in need. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to us at

772-283-4800 or visit UnitedWayMartin.org/Disaster for assistance. Additionally, you can contact 211 or visit the Martin County website at Martin.fl.us/Hurricane for further information.

In these challenging times, we’ve witnessed a remarkable spirit of solidarity among neighbors wanting to help one another. One of the most impactful ways to make a difference right now is by donating. The Martin County Emergency Operations Center is actively assessing the damage and will guide us on how best to deploy our resources.

If you’re in a position to assist, we invite you to contribute directly to our emergency assistance fund through our website. Rest assured that 100% of your donation will support recovery efforts related to Hurricane Milton. For those looking to help communities across Florida that have also been deeply affected, donations can be made to the United Way of Florida Disaster Relief and Recovery Fund.

We recognize the difficulties this situation brings to all of us. Please remember that our team is here to support you, and we are dedicated to working together to rebuild our community.

Thank you for your kindness and generosity.

Warm regards,

Carol Houwaart-Diez
