Greetings from Spartan Lane,

The Athens Academy community has been a thing of beauty over the last two months. Our students and teachers were stopped in their tracks two-thirds of the way through our academic year, and after a few days our teachers were back up and running. We continue to pivot and adjust, but many good things continue to happen each day and we are grateful.

Many parents, alumni, faculty and friends had already made a gift to the school earlier in the year, but we know there are many more who would be regretful if not given the opportunity to support a place they know and love. At this juncture, our only fundraising goals are to add more resources to our financial aid budget and to bolster and faculty professional development budget. Both are priorities for us in the coming year.
We hope you and your family are faring well during this surreal time, and we hope you will join us with a gift or pledge in support of these two areas of need.

Financial Aid: One of our primary goals throughout this pandemic is to maintain our community. We appreciate the partnership among our teachers, students and parents during this pandemic. Going forward, we want to continue to maintain the Spartan family. Please consider a gift in support of those Spartans who are experiencing financial difficulty and will need assistance with tuition for next school year. We want to do everything in our power to keep all of our current families with us, regardless of the financial toll some may have experienced with our shutdown.

Faculty Professional Development: The efforts of our faculty in these unprecedented times is simply amazing. They are doing fantastic work in support of our students and distance learning. We hear many positive comments from our families about the good work they are doing. Our teachers are making this a meaningful experience for our students, and we need to do more to bolster their training.

Unrestricted Annual Excellence Fund: Donations to this fund support the school's operational budget in ALL areas. Contributions to the Annual Excellence Fund provide for all student experiences and learning opportunities both in and out of the classroom.

This fiscal year will close on July 31 , and we need your continued support. Please join us and nearly a 1,000 others who have supported the school with charitable giving. With your vote of confidence we can further augment financial aid, our professional development, and our areas of greatest need. Gifts may be processed by credit card using this link or you can send your check to 1281 Spartan Lane, Athens, GA 30606.
