Dear Student Affairs Colleagues,
The offices of Student Rights and Responsibilities, Equal Opportunity Compliance, C.A.R.E Network Services (Basic Needs Systems, Mental Health Counseling Services, and Student Accessibility Services), and ACC Police invite you to participate in an upcoming professional development opportunity.
ACC Student Care Resources: Clarifying Roles, Responsibilities, and Referral Pathways is designed to help faculty and staff better understand the roles of key student support and response offices, identify the appropriate resource for a variety of student concerns, and make informed referrals that promote timely and effective support for students.
During this session, participants will:
- Gain a clearer understanding of the services, responsibilities, and processes of each participating office.
- Learn when and how to refer students and concerns to the appropriate department.
- Explore strategies for promoting coordinated, student-centered responses across the College.
- Increase confidence in navigating student concerns and connecting students with the right resources.
Our goal is not only to clarify reporting and referral processes, but also to provide the knowledge and tools needed to support students effectively while fostering a culture of care across ACC.
We encourage you to join us, ask questions, and learn more about how our offices work together to support student success and well-being.
Sessions will be offered on the dates and times listed below. Please register through Workday at this link and select the session that best fits your schedule.
- Monday, August 3, at 1:00 p.m. | Round Rock Campus, Room 8202
- Thursday, August 6, at 1:00 p.m. | Riverside Campus, Room 8100
We look forward to partnering with you as we continue to support our students and strengthen our college community.
Sincerely,
Meritza "Ritz" Tamez, Ph.D.
