Mentors Needed!
Our Connections Count team has redesigned our mentoring program to better serve our young adults and to provide more support and better training for our mentors. We are seeking mentors and coaches to serve our young adult clients ages 17-26. If you are passionate about helping young people succeed, giving back to your community, and building new relationships with young adults we need YOU to get involved. With the redesign of the program, we have added a Mentoring and Outreach Coordinator who will equip our mentors with the necessary tools to be effective, including:
  • An orientation training on mentoring best practices
  • Additional mentoring and community resources for reference
  • Regular support and check-in calls while engaged in matches
Becoming a mentor can truly change lives. As a former foster youth said, "We are not equipped to go through this world alone."
Help ensure that our young adults have a positive caring relationship in their world. The young adults we serve are at a greater risk of living in poverty, becoming homeless, and being unemployed. Mentoring has been proven to increase educational attainment, employment stability, and community engagement for those that are mentored. To find out more, attend our mentoring information session on September 13th from 5:30-6:30 or contact Ethan, Mentoring and Outreach Coordinator  at .
