Inspiring stories about how your investments make a difference in Lutheran congregations across Texas.
CrossPoint Becomes a Crossroads for Harvey Relief
Natural disasters bring both devastation and reminders of the power of community, the human spirit, and God's grace. Churches all over southeast Texas have become cornerstones in the relief effort, and CrossPoint in Katy particularly stands out for its lightning-quick and coordinated response....
Kids can be super savers, too!
It's never too early to start teaching your children stewardship, discipleship, and financial responsibility! CEF's Super Saver program, for kids aged 0–18, is the perfect way to start.

How it works:
  • A child makes their first investment of at least $10 into CEF by either opening a new investment or placing it into an existing one.
  • Each Super Saver who invests at least $10 each month receives a Noah’s Ark felt piece. Invest every month to build your Noah’s Ark!
  • Each investment counts—whether it is a stamp book, a check, or an Electronic Funds Transfer.
  • Members receive a membership card and quarterly newsletter.
Current CEF Building Projects
Pastor Doug Krengel couldn't contain his delight that the foundation has been poured for The Family of Faith 's new preschool building in Miramesa: "Can you see God at work?" Click the image above to watch his video "tour."
Memorial Lutheran in Katy continues to recover from Harvey . Church members have been collecting donations (shown above) and gathering crews to help families whose homes have been destroyed to clean up and relocate.
St. John in Athens now has a new sign to go along with its rebuilt all-purpose building and nursery!
Trinity Klein in Spring also has been occupied with recovering from Harvey. Assistant Facilities Director Joel Eisenbraun reports that "the flooding has reprioritized our staff and daily routine. It is exciting to see how Trinity has responded to our community in need."

Meanwhile, the facility's 49,000-square-foot expansion has managed to stay on schedule. Trinity has moved into its adorable new kids' ministry and nursery space (photos at left), and are just two months away from moving their entire middle school!
