SURCHARGE RECYCLING IN TACOMA?
The city faces $1.9 million annually in unbudgeted expenses for curbside recycling as costs rise both at the landfill and for selling recyclables in a more restrictive market, according to an Environmental Services Department report.

In response, changes are coming at the curb for residential recycling customers.

The new store, at 4502 N. Pearl St., is a full-service grocery with dine-in options. Central Co-Op opened its doors to the community last Saturday morning.

NW SEAPORT ALLIANCE GETS AN UPGRADE
Great news for Western Washington!
The Port of Seattle, through The Northwest Seaport Alliance (NWSA), a marine cargo partnership between the Port of Seattle and the Port of Tacoma, has approved a project to upgrade Terminal 5 to handle ultra-large container ships with a capacity of up to 18,000 containers.

This upgrade will be beneficial to both the regional and national economies!
