Standards for UV technologies have long been a topic on the IUVA agenda, and the IUVA has issued several specific discrete measurement standards over the years. Several IUVA Task Forces also are working to establish standards.

FOCUS ON UV LED TECHNOLOGY AND AOP APPLICATIONS IN WATER

The research, development and implementation of UV LEDs has been on the rise in recent years, especially for lower flows or levels of disinfection that do not require large values of UV irradiance.

NOMINATIONS OPEN FOR IUVA BIENNIAL ACHIEVEMENT AWARDS

The International Ultraviolet Association seeks to recognize outstanding contributions to UV technology and the IUVA, in categories including people, papers and products/projects. Self-nominations are welcome, but entries must be submitted by June 30, 2023.
