Manuscript Deadline: July 13, 2026

The Journal of Vacuum Science & Technology A & B (JVST A & B) are planning Special Topic Collections highlighting Surfaces, Thin Films, and Applications of Vacuum Technology at Mexican Institutions. These Special Topic Collections will feature articles on fundamental and applied research conducted at Mexican institutions that fall within the scopes of JVST A & B. They will present current interests and capabilities in the fields of surfaces and interfaces, thin films, and applications of vacuum technologies. 

Topics covered include, but are not limited to:

• Fundamental and applied surface science
• Deposition, characterization, and properties of thin films
• Inorganic and organic semiconductor materials and devices
• Nanostructured materials and devices including 2D-materials, nanoparticles, and quantum dots
• Plasma science and its applications
• Photovoltaic materials, heterostructures and devices

Authors are encouraged to use the JVST article template. During submission, you will have an opportunity to indicate that your paper is a part of this collection in either journal by choosing the Special Topic Collection: “Surfaces, Thin Films, and Applications of Vacuum Technology at Mexican Institutions.”
