The Growing in Faith Bible

Many individuals and families have been enjoying The Growing in Faith Bible (blue Bible) that was recently placed in the pews. Due to several requests, we have ordered additional copies, available for purchase for $35 each.

If you would like to purchase a copy, please contact Jennifer Anders at jennifer.anders@redeemerlutheran.com.

Sunday School

This Sunday is our final week of Sunday School for the year, and we have a BIG celebration planned! We will be thanking God for a wonderful year of growing in faith together.

We’ll celebrate with fun games that help us review our favorite Bible stories from the year and our final Redemption Store of the year. Don’t forget — points do not carry over, so this is the perfect time to spend them!

Preschool students will meet in their usual classroom. Kindergarten–5th grade students and Jr. High students will meet together in the Green Room. Our Jr. High youth have helped plan the celebration activities and will be helping to lead. See you at 9:30!

Men's Service Opportunity

We have an excellent opportunity on Saturday morning, May 16th, to follow in God's calling to help out a single woman in our church. Teck Kosieracki has asked us men if we could help in painting the eaves on her single-story home. We will meet at Teck's house at 8:00 am - Address: 412 N. Longbow Dr. Peoria, IL 61604. We really would like as many men as can help, so that we can get done as soon as possible.

Please bring painting supplies if you have them - favorite brush, roller, etc. We will have supplies also if you don't have that stuff. Also, if you can bring a standard 8 ft ladder would be helpful. Please text Mark Briggs at 309-231-2995.

Baby Shower

You are invited to a special baby shower brunch honoring Amanda, Scott Treptow's wife, as we gather together as a church family to celebrate the upcoming arrival of a precious little blessing! We look forward to a delightful time of fellowship, joy, and encouragement as we support the Treptow family on this exciting new journey.

Date: Saturday, May 23rd

Time: 11:00-1:00 PM

Location: Miller Hall

Please RSVP by Mother’s Day, May 10, to Lisa Mack at (309) 360-2669 or by clicking on the link below.

RightNow Media Series

RightNow Media is a wonderful resource available to our members offering a wide range of topics. Every month we plan to suggest a video series and provide a guide for individual learning and reflection.

Our recommendation for May is: How Do We Live as Christians? by Kyle Idleman.

The term “Christian” first appeared around 60-64AD in Antioch. In Acts 11:26 this term distinguished Jesus followers from other Jewish sects. “Follow me” (Matt 4:19) is one of the foundational commands we’ve been given. On Pentecost, May 24, 2026 we will remember and celebrate the work of the Holy Spirit. It is by the power of the Holy Spirit that we are able to faithfully follow Jesus. In this six-session series, pastor and bestselling author Kyle Idleman will help us answer the question, “How do we live as Christians?” Kyle will help us answer some of the other questions that follow and that are essential to living faithfully as Christians. Regardless of where we’re at on our faith journey, Kyle will teach us what it looks like to live a Christian life.

If you do not yet have a RightNowMedia account, see Jeff Shoumaker to be linked with Redeemer’s subscription.
