Survey On Reopening of RCSD Schools
Survey seeks input from students, parents, and staff
The Rochester City School District has released a survey to its students, parents, and staff members on the reopening of schools. This survey was created to help better understand the concerns and/or questions individuals have regarding the reopening of schools this fall.

As the District develops plans, protocols, and safety measures in preparation for the reopening of schools, this feedback is needed and may be used in conjunction with guidance from Governor Andrew Cuomo, New York State health officials, Monroe County, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the New York State Education Department.

The District's top priority and focus of this work is the health, safety, and well-being of students, staff, and families.

"Students, parents, and staff in the Rochester City School District have shown perseverance and resiliency during this global pandemic. We must keep their safety at the forefront of every decision that is made, and that's why it is so vital to have feedback from varied internal and external stakeholders," said Superintendent Lesli Myers-Small. She said, "I'm working very closely at the local, regional, and State levels to prepare different options for a safe return to school. We appreciate and thank our RCSD community for completing the survey."

The surveys are live now for students, staff, and families to participate through Wednesday, July 15. If students or families don't have access to the internet, assistance is available by calling the District’s Support Hotline at 585-262-8700, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Representatives are available to assist individuals with completing the survey.
