Survey time! Help guide policy decisions and recommendations by weighing in online

For the last few weeks, city planners have been talking with community members virtually and in person. We have been using these conversations to collect feedback and determine which alternatives work best for Near Northwest Area neighborhoods. Topics include development along corridors, adding housing and preserving affordability.

If you have missed these events or have more input to share, take the latest surveys below to weigh in

In the last round of engagement, we received additional input from the community that helped in developing these draft recommendations. Major themes from that input include:

• Offer multiple ways of preserving and celebrating culture and history

• Address the wide range of concerns related to loss of older homes in residential areas, and ensure more services and streetscape improvements are provided in mixed-use areas

• Support the construction of more affordable housing and prioritize keeping residents at risk of displacement in place

• Focus on supporting small businesses, as well as opportunities to train a new workforce and retain and attract jobs.

• This input was used to develop the draft recommendations that are in the survey to address the issues and opportunities you’ve identified. Your input from this survey will be used to refine and build on the draft recommendations for the upcoming draft plan document.
