Adam Bramwell, 32, has been charged with multiple felonies for the stabbing of a recent DePaul graduate on
July 19th on Halsted Street
. Bramwell was arrested
August 9 in Texas
on charges relating to the July 13 carjacking and battery of a woman on Fremont Street, who fortunately was able to escape with only minor injury. He is now being charged as well for the brutal 3:00 a.m. attack on Halsted Street.
He is also charged with possessing a stolen vehicle that was used the night of the crime and later setting the car on fire, as well as violations of his previous parole.
Bramwell is in custody.

One (1) Felony Count – Attempt First Degree Murder
One (1) Felony Count – Aggravated Battery/Great Bodily Harm
One (1) Felony Count – Armed Robbery
One (1) Felony Count – Aggravated Battery/Strangle
One (1) Felony Count – Aggravated Vehicular Hijacking – Weapon
One (1) Felony Count – Attempt Vehicular Hijacking
One (1) Felony Count – Receive/Possess/Sell Stolen Vehicle
Two (2) Felony Counts – Attempt Kidnapping – Force/Threat of Force
Two (2) Felony Counts – Arson
One (1) Misdemeanor Count – Criminal Trespass to Real Property
Two (2) Counts – Issuance of Warrant
He will be appearing in Central Bond Court, 2600 S. California, today.
