Sussex Co. to host annual Caroling event as food drive continues

With the holiday season here, there is no better - or more pressing - time than now to help those in need in our community. Sussex County's annual Caroling on The Circle event will team with the Georgetown Christmas parade on Thursday, Dec. 7, in downtown Georgetown to celebrate the season and help those in need. Come out for an evening of uplifting music, marching units, and more, and do your part to collect canned food through the end of the year to lift up families in our area this winter season. Sussex County to hold meetings on federal CDBG housing funds

Sussex County is conducting a series of community public meetings throughout December to gather input - and qualifying homeowner applicants - on future housing rehabilitation projects for properties in municipalities and unincorporated areas of southern Delaware. The meetings are held each year to determine spending priorities for Community Development Block Grants awarded by the federal government to Sussex County, which totals $2.4 million in the current budget year.
