Sustainability Leaders: Time to think about DC FY21 Budget!
Mark your calendars! Time to think about what we want our DC budget to look like.

On December 3rd at NOON, join the DC Environmental Network (DCEN), and DC Fiscal Policy Institute, for a budget training and briefing in preparation for our advocacy on the District's Fiscal Year 2021 proposed budget. This meeting will occur at the offices of our friends and colleagues, the DC Fiscal Policy Institute, located at 1275 First Street, NE, Suite 1200. (One block from the NoMa-Gallaudet U/ New York Ave Station!)

Even as we speak, DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, and Executive Branch agencies, are already making decisions and developing proposed program funding priorities for the multi-billion dollar, Fiscal Year 2021 budget. For over a decade, DCEN has worked hard to make sure key environmental programs and policies, to make the District a zero-waste city, to combat the climate crisis, to protect our rivers, trees and wildlife, and to grow the sustainability movement, are meaningfully funded.

The time to think about what you want to see in our DC budget is NOW!

The Network is already working on ways to make sure the Executive Branch of government knows what our budget priorities are and making sure we are prepared to educate and advocate when Mayor Bowser sends her budget proposal for DC Council consideration.

More information to follow. Hope you can make it.
