10:00 am - 12:00 pm
USGBC - Oregon
At the end of the day, it’s not so much about what you do, but about why you do it. Leading with purpose is a journey that starts from within. This year, Women in Green celebrates the power of purpose to shape our lives, our careers and our changing world. Hosted by USGBC Oregon, Women In Green celebrates female leaders in sustainability who are at the top of their field, fueling ambitious young women and catalyzing change. This event empowers women to enhance and lead green industries around the world. We will take a look at the impacts of women leaders in our community and where our next generation will take us. Join us to be a part of this important conversation.

12:00 pm - 2:00 pm
New Buildings Institute
As Oregon prepares for a future full of zero energy building, designers must equip themselves with facts and technological know-how to encourage our clients to address global climate change. In a fun game show format, New Buildings Institute staff will educate and test attendees’ ability to quickly recall information about ultra-efficient buildings and renewable energy systems. Come prepared to eat pizza, join a team, and face-off to test your knowledge about zero energy and high performance buildings!

6:30 pm - 10:00 pm
Northwest Ecobuilding Guild
The Green Building Slam is a fun, educational event! It features ten fast-paced, mind-blowing talks about remarkable and innovative green building projects. Get ready to be inspired by high performance, sustainable building projects, as ten green builders present innovative, high performance building projects in 10-minute segments. Join us for great appetizers, drinks and good company at this final, wrap-up celebration for Portland’s Sustainable Building Week.
A BIG thank you to all of our partners, collaborators and all of YOU for attending each of these events. The feedback and enthusiastic responses we received from the participants this week have us ready to start our planning for next year.
