LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD AND THE MAGIC DRAGON
FAMILY FUN!
Little Red Riding Hood and the Magic Dragon
Book by David and Julie Payne
Lyrics by Julie Payne.
Music by Martha Yordy
Directed by Mike Jimena & Connie Mockenhaupt
Musical Direction and Choreography by Connie Mockenhaupt

“And Little Red Riding Hood lived happily ever after” is where Little Red Riding Hood and the Magic Dragon begins. But Little Red isn’t really happy! Through the song, Fairy Tale Lament, we learn that she has grown tired of her story. She dreads knowing that every time someone opens up her book she will be forced to relive the same old familiar tale. With the help of Toby, a lovable, comical magic dragon, Little Red sets off for new adventures. Along the way she meets, and sometimes becomes, other fairy tale characters like princes and witches and frogs. She manages to find excitement and sometimes danger. Ultimately Little Red’s magical journey brings her to the realization that anything is possible and that imagination is the true beginning of everything.

Little Red Riding Hood plays through September 29 on Saturday and Sunday at 1:00pm (Note the September 21 performance will be at 10:30)

LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS
Audiences are raving about the show. Houses selling out!
Little Shop of Horror opens its Flower Shop at Sutter Street Theatre
Book & Lyrics by Howard Ashman
Music by Alan Menken
Directed by Rick Kleber, Musical Direction by John C. Brown
Choreography by Jacob Gutierrez-Montoya

A deviously delicious Broadway and Hollywood sci-fi smash musical, Little Shop Of Horrors has devoured the hearts of theatre goers for over 30 years. Howard Ashman and Alan Menken (Disney’s The Little Mermaid , Beauty and the Beast , and Aladdin ) are the creative geniuses behind what has become one of the most popular shows in the world.

The meek floral assistant Seymour Krelborn stumbles across a new breed of plant he names “Audrey II” – after his coworker crush. This foul-mouthed, R&B-singing carnivore promises unending fame and fortune to the down and out Krelborn as long as he keeps feeding it, BLOOD. Over time, though, Seymour discovers Audrey II’s out of this world origins and intent towards global domination!

Little Shop Of Horrors plays through September 29 on Friday and Saturday at 8:00pm and Sunday at 4:00pm.
On September 21 the performance will be at 1:00. We have a special for this show.
