ESCANABA IN DA MOONLIGHT
Come party with the Soady clan for the opening weekend of "Escanaba in Da Moonlight" (Friday, January 25th - Sunday, January 27th) as we kick off our 2019 season. Special snacks and refreshments will be available to celebrate.
Directed by Connit Mockenhaupt

When the Soady clan reunites for the opening day of deer season at the family’s Upper Peninsula camp, thirty-five-year-old Reuben Soady brings with him the infamous reputation of being the oldest Soady in the history of the Soadys never to bag a buck. In a hunting story to beat all hunting stories, ESCANABA IN DA MOONLIGHT spins a hilarious tale of humor, horror and heart as Reuben goes to any and all lengths to remove himself from the wrong end of the family record book.

The cast of Escanaba in Da Moonlight presented a special VIP performance to a sold out audience at the 300 seat Bootleg Theater in Hollywood. Attendees included Getty Images and. LA Fashion Magazine whose review features the headline “The Boys From The North Teach The Snobs From The South How To Laugh”

Of the cast of that production Mike Jimena ( Albert Soady), Matt Udall ( Remnar Soady) and Gerald Mcfadder (The Jimmer ) are returning. Eric Olsen ( Reuben Soady ) now resides in LA and will not be able to reprise his role and will replaced by Mark Androvich (Spamalot and Willy Wonka). Steve Reed (Ranger Tom) now travels for work and also will not able to return and will replaced by Rick Kleber a member of Actors Equity, who in addition to his roles at Sutter Street, has been scene at B Street Fantasy Theatre, California Theater for Children, Music Circus, Sacramento Theater Company, summer stock runs throughout the nation and several movies including “Ghost” and ”My Favorite Martian”

THE ADVENTURES OF STUART LITTLE
Adapted by  Joseph Robinette
Directed by Allen Schmeltz

This is the endearing classic about a mouse named Stuart Little who is born into an ordinary New York family. All the charm, wisdom and joy of the E.B. White original are captured in this adaptation by Joseph Robinette, who also dramatized the highly acclaimed stage version of Charlotte’s Web. The many adventures—both big and small—of Stuart Little are brought vividly to life in this story theatre presentation. The ensemble of seven actors plays many human and animal roles in a series of delightful scenes that make up the marvelous maneuverings of a mild-mannered mouse trying to survive in a “real people’s world.”

The Adventures of Stuart Little runs February 2 through February 24 on Saturdays and Sundays at 1:00pm.

Tickets are $18 general, $16 senior, $15 students with id, $13 children 12 and under.

For online reservations go to www.SutterStreetTheatre.com or call (916) 353-1001.

GET READY FOR CALENDAR GIRLS
The Month of January
CALENDAR GIRLS
By  Tim Firth
Directed by Mike Jimena

When Annie’s husband John dies of leukemia, she and best friend Chris resolve to raise money for a new settee in the local hospital waiting room. They manage to persuade four fellow Women's Insitutue Club members to pose nude with them for an “alternative” calendar, with a little help from hospital porter and amateur photographer Lawrence. The news of the women’s charitable venture spreads like wildfire, and hordes of press soon descend on the small village of Knapeley in the Yorkshire Dales. The calendar is a success, but Chris and Annie’s friendship is put to the test under the strain of their new-found fame. Based on the true story of eleven W. I. Club members who posed nude for a calendar to raise money for the Leukaemia Research Fund.

We will have Calendar Girl calendars with photos of our cast available for purchase.

Calendar Girls runs March 8 through April 14 on Fridays and Saturdays at 8:00pm and Sundays at 4:00pm.

Rated P.G.13

Tickets are $24 general, $21 senior, $18 student with id, $15 children 12 and under.
