Hummel's Mug
Hummel's Mug is a smaller version of the talented, Hummel's Jug. Their sound is edgy, but fits the mold of the legends they model themselves after; legends such as Waylon Jennings, Merle Haggard, David Alan Coe and Johnny Cash to name a fraction of the many. The group puts its own spin on the songs they cover and could be accurately compared to Jamey Johnson with their original material. When describing HUMMEL'S MUG original music, it's best defined as "Outlaw Country".

The Life of Ethel Scatchard
GOHS will host a program by Robert Calandresa commemorating the 100th anniversary of the death of local Red Cross worker Ethel Scatchard. During World War I, Miss Scatchard served as secretary of the Oneonta chapter of the Red Cross. She volunteered for overseas duty, sailing for France just after the Armistice was signed on November 11, 1918. She died while serving in Paris on February 11, 1919. Through photographs and narrative, this presentation will highlight her life, overseas travel, and last days. Letters from the time provide a firsthand account of her experiences in war-ravaged Europe, as well as the memories of those who knew her. The program will also include the origins of the Neahwa Park monument dedicated to her memory in 1922. This event is free and open to the public.

Leni Stern Trio
In the past 13 years Leni Stern has worked her hardest, forging a new sound that is all her own, composing, studying, practicing, with the rhythms and tonalities of West Africa through the chops of an accomplished jazz guitarist. Leni's compositions pay humble homage to the drum patterns of traditional Senegalese folk songs. What emerges is a new repertoire of cross-pollinated ideas and reverence to jazz, to blues, to Africa, to a folk music of today's diaspora.
