Celebrating the  Artisan's Guild

We made note of it last week, but it bears repeating!

The Artisan's Guild in Downtown Oneonta is celebrating 20 years!
That's 2 decades providing a venue for a rotation of over 50 local potters, woodworkers, painters, photographers, fabric artists, jewelers, and more.
In the process, they've helped provide an income to the creative soul of our community, and enhanced the quality of life for locals and visitors alike.

In difficult economic times, it hasn't been easy. But with tenacity and perseverance that is matched only by their love for the community of artists they represent, Deb Blake and Ellie Stromberg have given us all a gift.

The Anniversary Celebration takes place this Friday afternoon.

If you can, stop by and tell them thanks!

We're so grateful for their efforts of these past 20 years, and blessed that we might have many more years to appreciate the Guild and its collection of creative talents.

As to the calendar...
Yes, it's another jam-packed week.

Enjoy it!

As always,
We'll see you back here next Thursday.

Art: Flora Hogman, Laura Provo-Parker & James Bohary
Oct 5 @ 5:00 pm - Oct 20 @ 3:00 pm Opening Reception Saturday October 5th, 5-8 pmFlora Hogman: I suddenly by chance found it in photos of reflections in water, windows, shadows. That was how I felt I could express in this poetic, conceptual fashion my sense of the 'double reality' of a hidden child, its unreality. It led me to pictorial discoveries in pavements, the need now to express freedom, fun and invention beyond the trap of the war experience, creating meaning from various forms in my environment. James Bohary and Laura Provo-Parker: Artists James Bohary and Laura Provo-Parker present an exhibit that will demonstrate how two abstract artists who historically look internally and externally for subject matter are constricted by the boundaries of their canvas.
