METROPOLITAN OPERA LIVE:
COSI FAN TUTTE
Saturday, October 3 at 1:00pm
| The Met: Live in HD season kicks off with Mozart’s satirical comedy of fickle young love, one of the composer’s most sublime creations. Phelim McDermott’s “colorful, inventive” (The New York Times) staging, inspired by Coney Island in the 1950s, sets the uproarious story at a boardwalk amusement park, where the two pairs of lovers at the heart of the tale find themselves on one emotional—and literal—thrill ride after another. Soprano Federica Lombardi and mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey sing Fiordiligi and Dorabella, opposite tenor Duke Kim and baritone Andrey Zhilikhovsky as Ferrando and Guglielmo. Bass-baritone Gerald Finley reprises his portrayal of the cynical Don Alfonso, with soprano Ana María Martínez as the witty maid Despina. This live cinema transmission is part of the Met’s award-winning Live in HD series, bringing opera to movie theaters across the globe. | | |
THE MISANTHROPE
Starring Sandra Oh
Wednesday, October 7 at 7:30pm
| |
Award-winner Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) plays the title role in this razor-sharp reimagining of Molière’s classic dark comedy.
Telling the truth isn’t always that simple. Alice, a brilliant novelist, despises the carefully constructed lies of modern society. But the more she challenges those around her, the fiercer the backlash becomes. Soon, she must confront the price of speaking her truth in a world that would rather silence her.
Filmed live on stage at the National Theatre, Indhu Rubasingham directs Martin Crimp’s (Cyrano de Bergerac) highly anticipated play.

Followed by a discussion with Dr. Feroze Sidhwa
Saturday, October 10 at 7:30pm
| |
AMERICAN DOCTOR is a vérité non-fiction film following three prominent physicians–Palestinian, Jewish and Zoroastrian–friends who couldn’t be more different but are bound by their shared oath to save lives. Dr. Thaer Ahmad is measured and strategic, Dr. Mark Perlmutter is blunt and wears his heart on his sleeve, and Dr. Feroze Sidhwa is media-savvy and prolific. Filmed in unfolding, on-the-ground scenes, the story follows them from a Gazan hospital under siege, to the halls of Congress. Together they fight to keep a promise to their Palestinian colleagues and patients, to continue the struggle where it matters most: the United States.
“A timely, eye-opening and emotionally engrossing documentary.” – NYC Movie Guru

METROPOLITAN OPERA LIVE:
MACBETH
Saturday, October 17 at 1:00pm
| Two of opera’s most extraordinary artists return to The Met: Live in HD for Verdi’s thrilling take on the immortal Shakespearean tale of the scheming couple determined to seize power at any cost. Following past triumphs in many of Verdi’s signature baritone roles, Quinn Kelsey is the Scottish king haunted by the ghosts of his murderous ascent to the throne, opposite Lise Davidsen—the world’s reigning dramatic soprano—as the power-mad Lady Macbeth, whose ruinous ambition damns them both. Met Music Director Yannick Nézet-Séguin takes the podium for a penetrating production by Louisa Proske, a brilliant young director making waves around the world. Rounding out the all-star cast are tenor Freddie De Tommaso as the heroic Macduff and bass-baritone Ryan Speedo Green as Macbeth’s friend-turned-victim Banquo. This live cinema transmission is part of the Met’s award-winning Live in HD series, bringing opera to movie theaters across the globe. | |
The Martha’s Vineyard Film Society is excited to present our 8th annual Women In Film Festival (WIFF), running from October 16-18, 2026 at the MV Film Center. WIFF is a celebration of women in film: both in front of and behind the camera. This festival features stories that have not usually been told from a woman’s perspective.
Although women make up over half the country’s population, less than 20 percent of film directors are female. Women make up a minority of film producers, composers, editors, and writers. WIFF seeks to shed a light on the work of female creators.

FALLEN ANGELS
Filmed live on Broadway!
Thursday, October 22 at 7:30pm
Sunday, October 25 at 4:00pm
| |
Sparkling, dizzying, and deliciously potent, Fallen Angels, Noël Coward’s champagne-fresh comedy of bad manners, shocked and delighted audiences at its 1925 premiere. Two upper-class wives, their husbands away for the day, share a few toasts to their pre-marital dalliances—with the same man, who just may be en routefrom France to visit. Old rivalries and past scandals bubble to the surface in this intoxicating romp from one of theatre’s comedy masters.
Starring Golden Globe-winner Rose Byrne (If I Had Legs I’d Kick You) and Tony Award winner Kelli O’Hara (The King and I), with Tracee Chimo, Mark Consuelos (making his Broadway debut), Christopher Fitzgerald and Aasif Mandvi, this new Roundabout Theatre and Tony Award-winning production of ‘pure escapist fun’ (The New York Times) was filmed live on stage at Broadway’s Todd Haimes Theatre and now comes to the big screen.
