Autumn is a good time to be sowing sweet peas. They will germinate easily and do a bit of growing before winter sets in so that by the time spring comes around they’ll be ready for action. You can start them off indoors on moistened kitchen roll which is a method we particularly enjoy as you can see as soon as they germinate, at which point you can pop them into pots of compost. They just need somewhere cool but frost-free to overwinter like a coldframe and then they can be planted out in spring.
We currently have 62 varieties in stock so deciding which ones to grow might prove to be a little tricky. Here are some favourites but for all of them click on the button below. You can also keep an eye out for new varieties arriving later this year!
