Pop-up libraries are a temporary collection of materials for patrons to browse and check out at a location other than the library.

Walk with pride flier

Walk with Pride: A Tour of Springfield's LGBTQ+ History


This Pride Month, join us at Lincoln Library for a free walking tour of historic LGBTQ+ sites in Downtown Springfield. From Ethel Mars to Smokey’s Den to The Prairie Flame to PrideFest, we have a lot to be proud of.


Come see Springfield through rainbow-colored glasses!


The total distance will be a little under 2 miles, so make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water.

Neurographic Art Workshop with Jeff Lung


Neurographic art is a form of therapeutic art that combines drawing and doodling with principles rooted in neuroscience and psychology. It is aimed at promoting relaxation, stress relief, and self-discovery. Most importantly, no artistic talent is required to benefit from this intuitive art style. 


In this workshop, you will learn the basic concepts of neurographic art, get familiar with Posca paint pens and go home with an 8x10 finished work of art on a canvas wrapped panel worthy of framing.
