In this edition, we’re excited to share some key milestones and upcoming events:


💰 $400,000 Raised: Thanks to your incredible support, we’ve raised $400,000 toward our $1 million goal to restore the Kentucky State University Aquatic Center!


🥃 Bourbon on the Banks 2024 Festival: We’re thrilled to be selected as a beneficiary for the Bourbon on the Banks Festival. Proceeds from the exclusive “The Secrets to Bourbon Food Pairing” event will go toward Swim With Purpose, helping us raise awareness of the need for year-round access to a local indoor swimming facility.


🎉 One-Year Anniversary Celebration: In July, we celebrated our first anniversary at Juniper Hills Aquatic Park. A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and continues to support our mission!


📰 Making Headlines: Swim With Purpose was recently featured in The State Journal, with local leaders, including Commissioner Katrisha Waldridge and Mayor Layne Wilkerson, advocating for our project.

Join us for the Bourbon on the Banks 2024 Festival 


Swim With Purpose has been selected as a beneficiary for the Bourbon on the Banks 2024 Festival and proceeds from the exclusive "The Secrets to Bourbon Food Pairing" event will be donated to Swim with Purpose. Swim with Purpose Celebrates One Year Anniversary! 


In early July, we celebrated the one-year anniversary of Swim With Purpose at Juniper Hills Aquatic Park. Thank you to everyone who attended and demonstrated their commitment to our mission of restoring and reopening the Kentucky State University Aquatic Center. Your continued support drives us forward, and together, we’re making waves to create future aquatic opportunities in our community.

Frankfort Mayor: 'We need two pools'


Swim with Purpose made headlines in The State Journal earlier this month. 

Commissioner Katrisha Waldridge suggesting the city pledge $1 million to reopen the KSU Aquatic Center. Mayor Layne Wilkerson also voiced support, stating the community needs two pools—one at KSU and another public pool.

Our Mission

Our mission at Swim With Purpose is to raise $1 million dollars to renovate and reopen the Aquatic Center at Kentucky State University, an HBCU. This fund will also establish a self-sustaining fund for ongoing maintenance and programs while partnering with the community with programs and facilities.
