The summer is coming to an end but don't worry, we have you covered to keep your baseball and softball skills ROCKING!
Is your company looking for a team building event and have no idea where to go? We have your answer! Check out the El Paso Corporate Games to be held on October 7, 2018 at La Viña Winery.
The event will host a variety of crazy, fun games that will get your company teams talking and working together to beat the team competing beside you.

High School Summer League
Our Chihuahuas NeXt Summer League teams burnt up the fields this summer! There are 28 different El Paso area high schools participating on our 42 Junior Varsity and Varsity teams. You never know which high school player may be destined for a spot on the 2018 All Star Teams, but rest assured, every team will be represented with at least one player. Mark the All-Star game on your calendar, it will be a must-see event, held at Southwest University Park on August 11th.

It’s that time again!
Our 4th annual BASE Play Night @ the Ballpark is just around the corner on August 2nd. Game time is 7:05 pm. We hope you’ll join us - bring your family, bring your friends! All sales benefit BYAA after school educational programs.

Tickets are $13 and include a $2 food and beverage credit. To purchase, call Letty Martinez, our BASE Play East Coordinator, at 915-837-1997, or Meaghan Moran, our BASE Play West Coordinator, at 915-691-5837

It’s also the time of the year our numbers come in for our 2017-2018 academic year. BASE Play RBI served 340 kids in the Clint district, and, drum roll please... we’ve registered over 1,400 kids in the last four years. Of our students who are struggling academically, since 2014, an average of 70% transitioned to passing grades by the end of a season of play. This past year, one quarter of our struggling kids were able to finish with B's or better!

Thanks to all who made these stellar results possible. And thank you, for your belief in BYAA and your love of the game.

See you at the ballpark!

Extra Innings with Sara Plourde
World championships 2018 in Chiba, Japan begin this week! If a team places high in this world tournament it will also give that same team a bid for the Olympics in 2020! This is a crazy and exciting time for teams across the entire world. For some teams this will be their first experience at a world championship, and others have been many times. Wish all your teams GOOD LUCK as they all begin to play for something greater than themselves; their country!
I have loved staying in touch with various student-athletes from back home in El Paso throughout the summer! You are all working really hard and are getting tons of gametime it! Keep up the good work I look forward to seeing you all we get home!
