FBC Valley Mills and our partner church in Saarbrücken, Germany, would like to share with you what God did during our time together July 11th through July 19th.
This was the first year of baseball camp for both the Texas team and our German brothers and sisters.
One week before camp began, there were only 8 campers registered. By Sunday's evaluations, that number had grown to 18 campers, combining both the younger and older age groups.
We were excited and ready to get started Monday morning. The first day of camp was a half-day, bringing our younger campers together with the teens, and it was a wonderful way to begin the week.
Monday and Tuesday afternoons were spent out in the city. We divided into six teams of two or three people and walked through Saarbrücken, talking with people on the streets and inviting them to baseball camp, Camp Evening, and Texas Night.
We also had the privilege of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ using the Three Circles approach.
God honored our time in the city by continuing to grow the camp. By Saturday's tournament day, attendance had increased to 42 campers!
One of the most amazing parts of our experience in Saarbrücken was seeing firsthand the beautiful multicultural body of believers in our partner church. The congregation includes people from 25 different nations, providing a wonderful picture of God's family gathered from around the world.
With that being said, this trip changed me.
The Holy Spirit gave me a renewed perspective to see people as He sees them—as His precious children. Through our team devotionals, personal testimonies, preaching, praise/worship, and sharing our stories, we believe lives were changed for eternity in Saarbrücken.
Love God and Love People!
Thank you, Jesus!
