Synod Journey Updates
Oops...I forgot to include the link and information for the Synod Journey Informational Meetings this Tuesday in the update I sent last night. Please see below for that important information! We will cover Synod Journey details and the re-registration process.

The Synod Journey website has been updated with the details, forms and links for the updated Synod Journey! Click the blue buttons below for direct links to helpful information, and read below for next steps depending on what your group decides to do.

As I say in the "Event Details" document, I believe our updated Synod Journey plan will even more deeply root and connect our youth and adults to each other and what God is up to in their lives and beyond. But I also want you to know that whatever you decide to do, you have our full support. Deeply rooting our young people in faith is what we are called to do, and there are many ways to do that.

Attend the Synod Journey Information Meeting!

Learn more about the Synod Journey, how to re-register, and ask questions! The same meeting will be offered at 11am and 7pm on February 22. We encourage you to attend in person, but it will also be recorded for those who have conflicts at both times.

MY GROUP WILL ATTEND THE SYNOD JOURNEY:
(With the same group, some cancellations, and/or additions)

We ask that groups complete a new registration form. The good news - there aren't nearly as many questions as in the original registration! Before registering, I encourage you to read through the registration information at www.nemnsynod.org/SJRegistration.

Step One: Group Registration Form
The Primary Leader from your congregation should fill out the new Group Registration Form. You do not need to indicate which youth/adults are cancelling or being added...just list who will be attending, and complete housing requests for your new group! Even if it is the same exact group as before, please fill out the new form. I have also had questions on if there is space for new additions - YES! No need to put anyone on a waiting list.

Step Two: Payment
The non-refundable deposit due with this new registration is $150 per person. We will apply the deposit you have already paid to your new registration. Any additional funds we have received will be applied to your final payment. If you are adding more participants than your current deposit covers we will send an invoice with the amount due. If you have cancellations before the final payment, you will only be responsible for the $150.

Step Three: Covenants
I have updated the Adult Leader and Participant Covenants to remove language regarding the ELCA Youth Gathering. If you have the same exact group of youth and adult leaders moving forward, you do not need to fill out a new covenant. But if you have additions, we do need you to discuss the covenant and have all participants sign it. Regardless, please make sure you cover our COVID-19 protocols (listed in the "Event Details" document) with participants before they register again so everyone knows what to expect and are in agreement to comply. Once you register, your payment again becomes non-refundable!
MY GROUP HAS DECIDED TO CANCEL:

If your entire group wishes to cancel, please email Catherine at Catherine.Anderson@nemnsynod.org. You will receive a refund of your deposit paid as soon as we receive the refund payments from the ELCA.
